Draft policy:The draft renewable energy policy statement has proposed an ambitious plans that non-convential sector will contribute 10 per cent of all new power capacity generation in the country for the period 2000-2012.It has plans to electrify 18,000 villages on priority basis in the country which are considered economically non-viable for grid-connceted power.
