The fate of the 25 finance companies that entered into lease deals with REPL Engineering Ltd for erecting windmills has been conclusively sealed. A letter issued by director of the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) to the income-tax department in Mumbai, has clarified that a certificate of commencement purported to have been issued by GEDA is counterfeit.
