Rising air pollution causing health hazard

Air pollution has assumed an alarming proportion in Rajkot. The poisonous smoke emitted by vehicles particularly is causing serious health problems among citizens. According to some officials of the Gujarat Pollution Board (GPB) the proportion of smoke emitted by vehicles in city is as high as 286 cubic mg as against the Indian standard minimum 140 cubic mg and maximum of 200 cubic mg.
