A social activist from the drought prone Madanpur-Rampur area in Kalahandi district has suggested a construction of a river grid system as a solution to the chronic drought and drinking water scarcity problem in western Orissa. In a letter to Chief Minister, Mr Naveen Patnaik, social activist, Mr Brajamohan Mohapatra, said river grid system would be the right answer to the drought problem in the region.
