The A V Birla Group has decided to put on hold its power project at Rosa in Uttar Pradesh. In a note to the Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) last week, the group said they would discontinue with the payment of retention fees as their plan for going ahead with the power project at Rosa was being reviewed in light of the present circumstances. They would continue with the project only if it was found to be economically viable, they added.
