The government is considering a proposal for a Rs 1,000 crore renewable energy development fund as part of the policy being drafted for the sector. At the CII organised Energy Summit, Tata BP Solar managing director A K Vora said the government should create Rs 1000 crore fund for solar energy by levying a cess on power consumed.
