The Mumbai Regional Congress Committee has demanded that the Maharashtra state government sanction a Rs 1,000 crore package for the development of Konkan region. The party has organised a Konkan Mahotsav at Lalbaug, the heart of the city's mill area where most migrants from Konkan reside.
