The Himachal Pradesh government has initiated steps for providing clean drinking water for the poeple of the district. The state government has sanctioned Rs 12 crore for the lifting of water for the district headquarters from the Beas. Rupees 1 crore more has been given for the augmentation of the scheme in addition to the sanctioned funds given in the annual budget.
