Rs. 212 Crore allotted for frost affected farmers in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: The state government is making all out efforts to provide economic assistance to frost affected farmers from its own resources. In this connection, the state government has so far allotted an amount of Rs. 212 crore 85 lakh to 42 districts of the state. Distribution of financial assistance in the frost affected districts is going on in full swing. Further, additional allotment of funds is also being made following the requisition from the districts. In this allotment, additional allotment of Rs.115 crore is also included. As a part of its operations, the Revenue Department and Relief Commissioner are regularly monitoring the demand of relief and releasing funds to the districts. The districts which have been released allotment to compensate the damage caused by frost and cold wave to the standing crops, include Narsinghpur, Dewas, Dindori, Shahdol, Umaria, Rajgarh, Jabalpur, Sagar, Balaghat, Vidisha, Seoni, Damoh, Bhopal, Sehore, Guna, Katni, Rewa, Indore, Shajapur, Sheopur, Satna, Singrauli, Mandla, Neemuch, Raisen, Hoshangabad, Panna, Betul, Morena, Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Burhanpur, Dhar, Ashoknagar, Khandwa, Sidhi, Anuppur, Shivpuri, Ratlam, Mandsaur, Bhind and Ujjain.
