Rs. 250-crore special package for Manipur

The Centre today announced a Rs. 250-crore special package for Manipur for developmental projects in education, health, power, transport and communication. The package was finalised when the Chief Minister, O. Ibobi Singh, called on the Union Minister for Development of North-Eastern Region, P.R. Kyndiah, in Delhi. "The special funds for Manipur will be used for projects relating to water supply, education, power, health, transport and communication,'' Mr. Kyndiah told reporters.
