The Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has undertaken a Rs 5.46-crore project to restore the lost glory of the historic Borchola Beel in the heart of Guwahati city. The renovation scheme for the water body covering an area of 68 bighas of land has been funded by the 11th Finance Commission.
