Rs 650 cr WB aid for watershed project

The World bank has in principle agreed to fund $130 million (Rs 650 crore) for the proposed Karnataka Watershed Development Project, which would take off in August-September this year. A three-member team led by Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner N Vishwanath held talks with World Bank authorities in Washington Dc, US, last week in this connection and the authorities in principle agreed to fund the project.
