The state water investigation and development department has sanctioned Rs 80 crore for uninterrupted power supply in Nasipur, which has been stalked by fluorosis. The "Statesman" had reported on Saturday that more than 300 people in the village have become paralysed due to fluorosis. Reacting to the report, the WID minister, Mr Nandogopal Bhattacharya, said, "The money sactioned will help run the only pump that draws potable water from Tripita river ,2 km away from the village".
