The finance ministry has approved a part of the development reform facility (DRF) package prepared by the Planning Commission and has asked the plan panel to compose a list of reform measures which would be linked to the remaining part. A special Rs 800 crore package for Kalahandi, Bolangir and Koraput districts of Orissa were approved at a meeting between finance minister Jaswant Singh and Planning Commission deputy chairman K C Pant.
