The National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme that provided jobs to rural poor for minimum 100 days in a year had been implemented in all 306 village panchayats. Besides, equal importance was given to improve road connectivity to interior villages and enhance basic amenities at villages, he added. 400 works In 2008-09, district administration had executed 400 out of total 1,638 works taken up at a cost of Rs.75.23 crore and rest of the works were being expedited to bring into public use within scheduled time.
