Rural devp funds to Assam cut for poor utilization:Patil

Assam has been listed in the club of four worst performers in so far as utilization of rural development funds under Centrally-sponsored rural development schemes are concerned. The average percentage of rural development fund utilization in the State ranges from 30 to 40, which, according to the Centre, should have been between 60 and 70. Talking to The Sentinel, Union Minister of State for Rural Development Anna Sahib Patil said that Central funds pouring into the State were not properly utilized.
