The Supreme Court on Thursday isued notices to the Union power minister, National Thermal Power Corporation, Delhi Vidyut Board, Delhi's chief secretary and six others on a petition drawing its attention to the precarious power situation in the Capital. Petitioner Ranjit Kumar has also sought a direction to the authorities to work on the proposal of privatising power distribution in Delhi and use of solar energy as an alternative source of power.
