The ministry of non-conventional energy sources has recommended a scheme to set up generation of electricity through renewable sources. Under the scheme,a company which generates electricity using renewable sources would get an equal amount of energy from the state electricity board, which it can then sell to a third party or parties at a mutually agreed tariff.
