A city scientist, who drew international media attention in late 1997 claiming to have discovered an insulin-shot substitute, said he was weary of waiting for a patent."More than six moths after having applied for a patent at the Calcutta Patent Office and still waiting for it, I fear my discovery will be imitated," Jadavpur University Life Science and Biotechnology Department Head A K Sinha said.
