An international team of scientists has found a gene, inherited by people with a rare intestinal disease which increases the risk of cancer. The Institute of Cancer Research has said scientists from various countries including Finland, New Zealand, Britain and the United States doing research on chromosome 19, a part ofwhich includes around 300 genes, had identified the gene as LKB1.
