A second fire broke out at the 6 million tonne Panipat refinery of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in June 2, within a month of the first fire on May 6. The fire broke out at 6.07 pm at the top column of the crude distillation unit (CDU) bringing its operations to a halt.
