Seoul signs accord with KEDO on $3.22-bil.loan for reactor project

South Korea yesterday signed an accord with the Korean Peninsular Energy Development Organization (KEDO) on a $3.22-billion loan to finance the project to build two light-water nuclear reactors for North Korea. The loan agreement was inked by Chang Sun-sup, head of the Office of the Light-Water Reactor Project, and Desaix Anderson, secretary general of KEDO, an international consortium organized to administer the project.
