The Bombay High Court on Tuesday desired an amicable settlement to resolve the dispute between the Enron-promoted Dabhol Power Company (DPC) and Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) in view of the large investments involved in the project.It adjourned to June 21 the hearing of a petition filed by DPC to challenge the proceedings pending before the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC). While adjourning the matter, the court also directed the MERC to adjourn its next hearing scheduled for June 14 till further orders. The bench however clarified the MERC's interim order will not be disturbed by this order.
