The dreaded dengue has appeared on the outskirts of Hamirpur district headquarters town and if no timely and effective steps are taken, the entire town may fall prey to it. The fever mainly spreads from stagnant water and this time the stagnent water is found in an oxidation pond of the Regional Engineering College, located on the Hamirpur--Mandi highway via Awahdevi, near the local FM radio station.
