Shell chief heads G8 renewable energy taskforce

Mark Moody-Stuart, chairman of Anglo-Dutch oil giant Royal Dutch/Shell Group , has been appointed co-chair of the G8 Renewable Energy Taskforce, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said yesterday. The taskforce will report to next year's G8 summit in Genoa.G8 heads of government agreed at their Okinawa summit last weekend to set up a taskforce to identify the barriers hindering efforts to increase the level of renewable energy supply and distribution.
