The Shell Foundation, UK and Shell Renewables India Pvt. Ltd, have taken up a major initiative to promote the use of alternative renewable energy sources. As part of its global initiatives to popularise the use of non-conventional energy sources, Shell Foundation has taken up the 'Synergy 2000' series of conferences in certain rural areas and also organised state-level conferences.
