Dutch oil multinational Shell has withdrawn from the proposed Rs 10,000 crore joint venture refinery project with the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) in Uttar Pradesh. Shell has withdrawn from the joint venture UP Refinery project as they have committed to invest funds in other areas of the petroleum sector, minister for state for petroleum Santosh Kumar Gangwar told PTI in an interview.
