Australia's Snowy Mountains hydro-electric scheme would suffer a A$188 million impact if political pressure caused governments to boost Snowy River flows to 28 percent of original levels, an expert said yesterday. In a report on Snowy Water flows commissioned by the Victorian and New South Wales state governments, Robert Webster recommended flows be increased to 15 percent of original levels from current levels of only one percent below Lake Jindabyne.
