Think again before you go shopping for plastic teething rings and other soft plastic chewy toys.Environmentalists say these toys could be slowly injecting poisonous chemicals into infants. Wbile several such toys have already been banned or withdrawn from the market in certain developed countries, the Indian government has only recently started looking at the issue. Union minister for environment and forests Suresh Prabhu is holding a meeting with experts next week on the subject.
