Solar ATM installed at Banni

In a first, the State Bank of India installed a solar-operated biometric ATM machine at Dhordo village in Banni grassland. The bank hopes to open a new chapter by not only turning environmentfriendly, but also reaching out to rural populace. The ATM runs on solar power and scores over a conventional ATM, which consumes about 1,000 watts of power and requires an air-conditioned environment
