The new Rajasthan Assembly building, to be inaugurated here on March 24 before the Budget session, will house a 25 KW grid interactive solar energy project to supply power to the entire building. The plant will be set up at a cost of Rs. 72.7 lakhs, two thirds of which will be provided as grant by the Union Ministry for Non-Conventional Energy Sources. The balance will be borne by the State Government's Public Work Department and the Rajasthan Energy Development Agency (REDA).
