Spanish electricity firm Endesa said on Monday it had completed a programme to reduce sulphur dioxide gas and dust emissions from its power stations at a cost of 50 billion pesetas over four years. It said that these measure meant that Spain had now fulfilled its European Union commitments to reduce sulphur dioxide emissions from large power plants.
