PR : Delivering the inaugural address at the second conference of the Power Ministers of the north-eastern States and Sikkim at the secretariat of the government of Meghalaya at Shillong today, Mr Kumarmangalam stressed the need for development of power sector in the north-eastern region and Sikkim which would go a long way in the overall development of the rgion and stated that nearly 98 per cent of vast hydro-electric potantial in the region was yet to be exploited. He also emphasized the need for timely implementation of the ongoing projects both in the Central and State sectors.
