A nasal spray vaccine has proven effetive in preventing influenza in children, raising hopes that injections, so much disliked by the little ones, will become obsolete. American scientists who developed the attenuated (weakend) live-virus vaccine have reported that the spray conferred 93 per cent protection against both circulating A and B strains.
