Chief Minister S M Krishna today asserted that the State budget for 2003-04 would be a 'pro-development budget' keeping in view the interests of common man. In a chat with newsmen here, he said that budget preparation was in full swing. "There was a big gap between the people's expectations and efforts are on to bridge the gap properly", he added. Mr Krishna, ruling out the possibility of presenting a white paper on financial position of the State before the budget was presented as demanded by the Opposition, said "the budget itself is the reflection of financial position of the State and hence there was no need for any separate white paper".
