Giving a clear indication that the issue of full statehood for Delhi would generate a lot of heat in the forthcoming Assembly elections in the Capital, senior BJP leaders alleged that the Delhi Cabinet's approval of the draft proposal for Statehood was nothing but a desperate move by the Sheila Dikshit Government "to cover up all failures and corrupt practices it was involved in".
