There were differences among state governments on four issues regarding the national watery policy, Parliament has been informed. According to Water Resources Minister Arjun Sethi, these issues were: formulation of guidelines for water allocation of inter-state water disputes Act, establishing appropriate river basin organisation with statutory powers and legislation for developing standardised national information system.
