Generation capacity addition during the Eleventh Plan period will focus on nuclear and hydel sources, according to the Union Power Minister, Mr Suresh Prabhu. Addressing a seminar on Friday on clean energy organised by FICCI, Mr Prabhu said that 20 per cent of incremental capacity addition would be from nuclear sources while in the medium term, 35 per cent of capacity addition would be from hydel sources and at least 20 per cent of incremental capacity addition would be sourced from renewable energy.
