Gujarat planning commission deputy chairman Sooryakant Acharya has urged the Gujarat government to undertake a detailed study of the exploration of geothermal energy which could minimise the possibility of earth-quake and at the same time generate electricity as being done in several developed nations like the US and others in Europe.
