In their efforts to cut down power bills, clean up the environment and earn additional revenue, Indian sugar mills are increasingly turning to bagasse - using this cane by-product to generate electricity.Current estimate show that 3,500 mw power can be generated from bagasse in the existing 430 sugar mills in the country.
