The 1997 prestigious Fogsi Corion Award for the best scientific research in obstetric and gynaecology in India has been conferred on Dr. Nimish Shelat, eminent gynaecologist and scientific director of Gujarat Institute for Research in Reproduction by the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Societies of India.
