Govt doctor tests positive A government doctor has tested positive for swine flu in Sirsa while ten new suspected cases of the disease have come to the fore in Hisar in the past two days and two suspected cases have been witnessed in Fatehabad. In Hisar, the health authorities collected throat swab samples of six patients yesterday and four patients today. “We have sent throat swab samples of 172 patients to the Central Institute for Communicable Diseases (CICS), Delhi, for testing so far this year. Of these, 62 were found to be positive - 34 from Hisar and 28 from other districts. As many as 11 people have died due to the H1N1 infection in the district. Of these, two belonged to Hisar while nine of them were from other districts,” said Dr Sushil Garg, the nodal officer for swine flu in Hisar. In Sirsa, where seven deaths have been reported due to the H1N1 virus, a government doctor has tested positive for swine flu. The doctor is posted at Fatehabad.
