Talacauvery, the birthplace of the Cauvery, in Kodagu district of Karnataka is facing an acute water shortage. According to Minister of State for Muzrai Suma Vasanth, steps are being taken to meet the water requirement of the holy place which attracts a large number of tourists everyday. She said an action plan had also been drawn up at a cost of Rs 35 crores to develop Talacauvery and other religious spots within a radius of 1.5 km.
