Tapping oil from plants

A number of forest plants in Western Rajasthan, mainly desert areas, have been found to be potential source of non-edible oil, according to scientists of the Arid Forest Research Institute , Jodhpur. In a paper submitted at recent national symposium on 'Forestry towards 21st century' , Jodhpur, the scientists said some of the most abundantly occuring species were being tapped now and there were many more which were yet to be invesgested for their suitability for the purpose.
