The Director-General of the Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI), Dr. R.K. Pachauri, has opposed the proposal for a judicial inquiry made by Dr. Godbole, the head of the committee for renegotiating the contract with Enron's Dabhol Power Company. Expressing concern over the suggestion, he had noted that three out of the five members of the committee had already recorded their strong dissent to the proposal.
