The Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI), in its internal report to the state-owned Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd (KPCL), has suggested that LNG was a viable alternative to coal and identified Ennore, Kochi, Dhabhol and Mangalore as locations for sourcing LNG.
