President George W. Bush formed a cabinet-level committee on energy policy last week. His press secretary Ar Fleischer, said the president sees an imbalance between energy supply and demand, which is best met by boosting supply, "not only so we can bring prices down to the American consumer but also so we can avoid an unnecessary overreliance on foreign supplies."(Editorial)
