The contentious multicore thermal power project of Enron's Dabhol Power Company (DPC) in Maharashtra's Konkan region is in the eye of astorm yet again. It as on the eve of the winter legislative session in Nagpur last fortnight that Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh was buttonholes by his Democratic Frint (DF) allies into proposing a review of the project and possibly the scrapping of its $1.42 billion Phase-II, now 80 per cent complete and porposed for commissioning by the end of next year.
