Thermal Power Houses Make Three New Records

Thermal Power Houses of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company had January 20 a special day for generating record power. Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited's Amarkantak Thermal Power House Chachai, Satpura Thermal Power Centre Sarni and Sanjay Gandhi Power House Birsinghpur generated maximum power on January 20. All the three Thermal Power Houses generated total 573.67 lakh unit power generation. In 2009, 571.20 lakh units were recorded. Thus, this day power generation 2.47 lakh units were more than that year. Power Generating Company's Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Centre, Birsinghpur achieved 297.14 lakh units power generation in one day. Maximum demand 1299 megawatt was achieved by Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power, Birsinghpur against the record of December 31, 2010 achieved 1272 megawatt. State Electricity Board Chairman Pankaj Agrawal has expressed happiness on the achievement of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company and extended greetings to the officials and employees. He hoped that the officials and employees would continue laying their efforts for achieving the target by their hard works.
