The Bangladesh Power Development Board has taken up a pilot scheme at an estimated cost of Taka 51.58 crore to bring down its system loss to an acceptable level of 15 per cent from the existing 30-35 per cent. PDB is hopeful of implementing the scheme and reducing the system loss by the middle of the next year.
